Ruim 50% van de contactcenters in Nederland werkt met reguliere systemen voor workforce management (WFM) zoals Blue Pumpkin, TotalView en Genesys. We mogen er dus van uitgaan dat de andere helft van de contactcenters een zelf ontwikkeld WFM-tool gebruikt, doorgaans in MS-Excel. Veel contactcenters groeien in de loop van de tijd in omvang en in diversiteit van de dienstverlening. Dit betekent dat ook de eisen ten aanzien van WFM veranderen. Het dilemma dat hierbij onvermijdelijk naar voren gaat komen is: blijven werken met de ‘eigen’ tool of toch kiezen voor de aanschaf van een regulier WFM-systeem.
